The World Food Logistics Organization (WFLO), a Core Partner of the Global Cold Chain Alliance (GCCA), is pleased to announce the successful culmination of the 50th WFLO Institute, held from February 8-12, 2014 at the Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center in Atlanta, Georgia.

As the premier educational program for the refrigerated warehousing industry, the WFLO Institute trains professionals in a growing selection of competencies, including facilities management, food science and safety, logistics management, and leadership development.

The 50th anniversary of the program was marked by record-breaking attendance with over 380 students participating in a new interactive and student-focused curriculum. The anniversary was also celebrated with the debut of the Graduate Institute, a pioneering program which focuses on personnel management and professional development, and was designed to be the next step for Institute graduates.

“The WFLO Institute is at the core of GCCA’s mission to be the authority in the temperature-controlled products industry,” stated Corey Rosenbusch, WFLO President and COO. “Our students are truly empowered by their experience here, and their employers and the industry benefit from this investment in the workforce.”

The WFLO Institute will continue to enhance its offerings, remaining responsive to the training needs of the next generation. Next year’s WFLO Institute will take place from February 7-11, 2015 and will feature the introduction of a new second-year curriculum, as well as a larger entering class for the Graduate Institute.
