Cold Connection

Meet Six New GCCA European Members

The Global Cold Chain Alliance has recently welcomed six European companies as new members.

Ice-Loft is not a new-born company buying or selling fruits: they specialize in logistics for fruits and vegetables that need to be shipped overseas. Ice-Loft also owns an engineering office named Infra Asia Engineering in Vietnam (Hanoi). This consulting firm specializes in environmental assessment reports and in the study of logistic corridors within Vietnam. The main objective of these studies is to facilitate the inland transport of agricultural products within Vietnam, towards the Port of Cai Mep, and by doing this, they intend to shift this transport from truck to inland waterways. Another objective of the company is to promote agricultural products from Vietnam in Europe, by taking advantage of the recent signing of the EVFTA Treaty between Europe and Vietnam, whereby both sides ally. Marc van Bouwel, Managing Director, explains: "Our objective by joining GCCA is to connect, and maybe to cooperate, with companies that deal with fruits and vegetables in the deep freeze world. We also aim to improve our knowledge of the cold chain by working together with other members of GCCA who have modern techniques for the cold chain."
