IARW and WFLO Elect New Officers and Board Members - May 11

ALEXANDRIA, VA, May 11, 2010 – New officers and board members of the International Association of Refrigerated Warehouses (IARW) and the World Food Logistics Organization (WFLO), an education and research foundation affiliated with IARW, were elected at the 2010 IARW-WFLO Annual Convention & Expo. IARW and WFLO are both Core Partners of the Global Cold Chain Alliance.

IARW elected new officers and board members at the 2010 IARW-WFLO Annual Convention & Expo, held 24-29 April 2010 at the Westin Kierland Resort, Scottsdale, Arizona, USA.

Mark Blanchard, President & CEO of NOCS in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA, was elected as the 2010-2011 Chairman of IARW.

Other new IARW officers elected for the coming year were Vice Chairman Garry Tilburn (Reed Boardall Cold Storage Ltd.) and Treasurer David Harlan (United States Cold Storage, Inc.).
New directors-at-large members elected to serve three year terms include: Kevin Marchetti (Seafreeze Cold Storage) and Neal Rider (AmeriCold).

In addition, Harry Halpert (Merchants Terminal Corporation) was elected as the representative from the North Atlantic Chapter and Bonnie Geise (SCS Refrigerated Services) was elected as the North Pacific Chapter Representative.

WFLO also elected new officers and board members at the 2010 IARW-WFLO Annual Convention & Expo.

Michael McClendon, President of Richmond Cold Storage Co. in Richmond, Virginia, USA was elected as the 2010-2011 Chairman of the WFLO Board of Governors.

Other new WFLO officers elected were Vice Chairman Janice Scott (Commercial Cold Storage) and Treasurer Larry Rauch (Los Angeles Cold Storage Co.).

New board members elected to serve three year terms include: Francois Dowling (Commercial Cold Storage Group Ltd.), Fabio Fonseca, Jr. (Friozem Logistica Ltda.), Gary Jones (Iowa Cold Storage), Charles Newell (Minnesota Freezer Warehouse Company), and Fred Sorbello (Mullica Hill Cold Storage).
