GCCA Announces New Initiative with Jackson Lewis to Provide Workplace Safety, Health & Employment Law Services

January 06, 2014

The Global Cold Chain Alliance (GCCA) is pleased to announce that it has formed a special relationship with Jackson Lewis in order to assist its members with their workplace safety, health and employment law issues.

OSHA has increased its enforcement activities over the last several years, and facilities in the cold chain industry continue to be impacted. As the industry’s global authority, GCCA has long been dedicated to promoting its interests and helping members navigate the regulatory environment. This new relationship with Jackson Lewis will elevate GCCA’s efforts, by providing its members with access to a legal team with broad experience in these critical areas.

“We are pleased to be able to provide our members with this level of expertise,” stated Corey Rosenbusch, President and COO, GCCA. “Jackson Lewis attorneys will participate in educational sessions, contribute content to our magazine and e-newsletters and provide members with expert counsel.”

Jackson Lewis is exclusively dedicated to representing management in workplace law.  The firm’s wide range of specialized areas of practice provides the resources to address every aspect of the employer/employee relationship.  Under this new initiative, all GCCA Core Partner members will have special access to Jackson Lewis attorneys for advice and counsel.

“My colleagues and I are eager to provide GCCA members the support and knowledge they need to navigate the workplace law landscape,” said Michael Taylor, a Partner in Jackson Lewis’ Workplace Safety and Health practice group. “We look forward to serving as an asset to members of this critical industry.”

The relationship kicks off with a webinar entitled, New EEO Regulations: Are You Subject to Them and How You Can Comply, taking place January 14, 2014, from 2:00-3:00 p.m. EST. Presented by Jennifer Seda of the Jackson Lewis PC Affirmative Action Practice Group, this webinar will shed light on how companies in the cold chain may do business with the government, making them subject to the regulations.
