October 21, 2014

The International Association for Cold Storage Construction (IACSC), a Core Partner of the Global Cold Chain Alliance (GCCA), announced that Chris Warner will keynote the 34th IACSC Conference & Expo, to be held in Boca Raton, FL, November 6-9, 2014. His talk will address “High-Altitude Leadership.”

“We could not be more pleased to have Chris keynote our conference,” said IACSC Chair Wade Hudson. “As one of America’s top mountaineers who has spent the past 30 years helping teams reach their summit, and a successful business leader who has dealt with the day-to-day challenges of growing a company in a tough economy, we believe Chris is uniquely qualified to arm attendees with tools needed to guide their own team to the next summit.”

Warner heads a team of 250 employees, spread over multiple locations, that serves more than 750,000 customers a year. He teaches leadership at the Wharton School of Business, to executives at Fortune 100 Companies and to covert and special operations teams in the U.S. Intelligence and Defense Agencies. He specializes in teams that face challenges in which failure is not an option. Warner’s clients range from the Baltimore Ravens to Google to the National Counter Terrorism Task Force.

Warner is also an author and an Emmy-nominated filmmaker. He has starred in television programs on ABC, NBC and the History Channel. Warner is one of America’s most successful mountaineers, leading more than 200 international expeditions. He guided the first reality show on Everest, and safely led his team to the summit of K2, the world’s most deadly mountain.

“To thrive in the face of today’s business challenges and tomorrow’s unpredictable risks, you need to become the type of leader whose career, team, and company excels in the most extreme environments,” says Warner. “With so much at risk, you have to be the high-altitude leader who uses every bit of strength to guide your team to peak performance.”

The IACSC Conference & Expo draws construction, warehouse, and refrigeration engineering professionals from around the world each year to gain valuable insight to improving their business. It is the only event in the world dedicated to cold storage construction, design, and maintenance. Attracting more than 200 warehouse operators, contractors, and suppliers, the event features opportunities to discuss and learn about the latest trends, regulations, and technologies impacting cold storage construction, and features top-notch educational programming centered around the theme, Shifting into High Gear, with peer case studies and presentations by industry thought-leaders. The event also includes a world-class Expo featuring cutting-edge products and technology.
