The Global Cold Chain Alliance (GCCA) announced today that Omirzak (Omi) Kadirbergenov has been named the organization’s new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and will join GCCA on May 26. Omi will lead the financial operations for all four of GCCA’s Core Partner organizations.

“Omi’s non-profit experience and acumen in operations and accounting will be extremely valuable to our staff and members alike,” said Matthew Ott, President and CEO. “I look forward to working closely with Omi on initiatives that make our organization more effective and efficient and ensure our continued success and growth.”

As a member of the senior management team, Omi will be responsible for managing all accounting, auditing, and investment activities, in addition to assisting with the day-to-day operational and technological needs of the association. He will also work closely with GCCA’s Board of Directors and Finance Committees and will provide insight on best practices and strategy related to accounting and operations.

“I am excited to join the GCCA team and ensuring that its systems, policies, and procedures are effective in delivering reliable financial information to GCCA staff, members and other stakeholders,” said Kadirbergenov.

Throughout his tenured career, Omi has worked at a number of international non-profit organizations, including most recently the American College Health Association. His breadth of experience will bring new insights and perspectives to the team. Omi has a BA from Karakalpak State University and a Masters of Science, Accounting and Financial Management from the University of Maryland.
