First Brazilian Productivity & Benchmarking Report Released

GCCA recently released its first Brazilian Productivity & Benchmarking Report (PBR). The PBR served as a pilot survey for the Brazilian market with data representing 29 facilities from 5 participating companies.

ABIAF, Associação Brasileira de Armazenagem Frigorificada, a partner of GCCA Brazil, has conducted studies in Brazil, but this is the first performance indicator study ever developed for the 3PL temperature-controlled warehousing and logistics industry.

"With the development and growth of the sector in the country, professionals are increasingly looking for indicators to guide their operations." Stated Brazilian GCCA director, Isabela Perazza.

The report revealed that the average age of warehouses in 2019 is 15 years old, and 45% of them are less than 10 years old. The median size of warehouses are 70,182 cubic meters and the 79% of the participating facilities use ammonia only refrigerant technology.

GCCA warehouse members who participated in the survey have access to the full report at no cost. For any questions, please contact Brazilian Director, Isabela Perazza at iperazza@gcca.org.
