The International Refrigerated Transportation Association (IRTA) recently launched the Certified Cold Carrier program which recognizes companies that comply with the IRTA Refrigerated Transportation Best Practices Guide, which provides guidance to companies for the sanitary transportation of human and animal food. Prior to the launch, the program was piloted by seven companies: FFE Transportation Services; Great Plains Transport; JB Hunt; KeHE; Midwest Refrigerated Services, Inc.; Trailiner and WEL Companies.
