GCCA Announces European Future Leader Award Recipient & Record-Breaking Attendance at European Cold Chain Conference

The Global Cold Chain Alliance (GCCA) announced today, Corrin Hill, Transport Manager, Lineage Logistics, UK as the 2022 European Future Leader Award Recipient during its 25th European Cold Chain Conference, held in Rotterdam, Netherlands on March 23-25. This year’s conference attracted close to 200 cold chain professionals from Europe, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Australia. The Award recipient was announced by GCCA President and CEO, Matthew R. Ott, who also presented on the association’s expanding global footprint and addressed the industry’s growing need for an advocacy presence across regions.

“It is encouraging to see young, promising talent rise to the challenge of bettering the industry and exploring opportunities to leave a meaningful, long-term impact on the development of the global cold chain,” said Julie Hanson, GCCA’s Director of Europe.

The GCCA Future Leader Award recognizes talented young professionals who have the potential to become cold chain leaders and make a positive contribution to the development of the global temperature-controlled warehousing and logistics industry.

“I am proud to be the recipient of the Europe Future Leader Award and thankful to have been given the opportunity to exhibit my ability to be a leader in this essential industry,” said Hill. It was an honor to take part in this competition with other gifted young professionals.”

Finalists were judged and evaluated on their knowledge level of the industry, track record of excellence, communication skills, and leadership skills by a panel of industry leaders. In addition, each candidate delivered a short presentation during the conference.  Hill, competed for the award with Roope Suotunen, Supply Chain Solutions Manager, Americold Logistics LLC, Netherlands.

Corrin Hill will represent Europe and go on to compete against young leaders from different regions later in the year for the GCCA Global NextGen Award.

The 26th GCCA European Cold Chain Conference will be held in Barcelona, Spain in March of 2023. More information and dates will be announced soon on the GCCA website
