January 30, 2023 (Arlington, VA) - The Global Cold Chain Foundation is pleased to announce Luke Cannedy of Interstate Warehousing and Seth Bradley, Interstate Warehousing as the 2023 RefrigiWear Institute Scholarship recipients, and William Mooney at Florida Freezer as the recipient of the ALTA Refrigeration Institute Scholarship. The scholarship affords the recipients with the opportunity to participate as year one students in the foundation’s Cold Chain Institute.

“Luke, Seth, and William were chosen for the scholarship program due to their performance, leadership skills, and demonstrated dedication to the industry,” said Matthew Ott, President & CEO of the Global Cold Chain Foundation (GCCF). “We’re excited to have them participate in the Institute program and are grateful to RefrigiWear and ALTA Refrigeration for making this possible.”

Seth Bradley serves as Supervisor for Interstate Warehousing Inc. in Denver, Colorado and participated in the Cold Chain Institute West held earlier this month in Tempe, Arizona. William Mooney serves as Warehouse Supervisor at Florida Freezer in North Fort Myers, Florida and is attending the Cold Chain Institute East this week in Atlanta, Georgia as is Luke Cannedy who serves as Operations Supervisor for Interstate Warehousing Inc. in Franklin, Indiana.  All three were nominated by their supervisors as outstanding examples of leaders in the cold chain.

The Cold Chain Institute is a four-day industry-specific program for professionals engaged in temperature-controlled logistics, offering more than 40 classes taught by leading experts in the industry. The curriculum takes students through cold chain management, customer service, employee safety, food safety, warehouse operations, transportation operations, and professional development.
