GCCA Continues to Expand Its Global Footprint – Opens Office in South Africa

June 20, 2019

As part of its expanding global footprint, the Global Cold Chain Alliance (GCCA) is proud to announce its newest regional office in Cape Town, South Africa. This location enriches GCCA's worldwide efforts to strengthen and develop the global temperature-controlled supply chain.

"With 50% of GCCA’s members being from outside the United States, the key to our global growth has been the ability to serve members locally," says GCCA President and CEO Corey Rosenbusch, CAE, IOM. "Adding a presentative on the African continent allows the association to deliver expertise and services in a very targeted manner.”

Lizelle van der Berg has been named Director of GCCA South Africa. Her previous experience includes customer development and client services for logistics companies. "I'm excited to be representing GCCA in South Africa, where cold chain capacity is growing and strengthening – initial market research showed over 200 plus cold storage companies operating in the region and with strong GDP growth that number is bound to continue to grow." Specifically, GCCA works throughout the region to strengthen the cold chain and maintain product integrity and quality between rural areas and more populous cities.

“Already, in Brazil, we’ve had productive meetings with government representatives on behalf of the cold chain industry,” says GCCA Brazil Director Isabela Perazza, whose previous experience includes sales and relationship management.
